A New Standard for Business Activation Begins

Winners Wednesday returned to the Business Growth Gallery (BGG) on October 7 with a bigger vision, stronger connections and a renewed focus on creating real business opportunities.
Winners Wednesday BAR (Businnes Activation Room) welcomed professionals from Micro, Small, Midsize and Enterprise businesses. It represented the beginning of a new era focused on helping entrepreneurs build relationships, develop partnerships and turn conversations into contracts.

Lucy Quiñones opened the session by making it clear that this wasn’t just another Wednesday.
Coach Lucy Q challenged everyone in the room to raise their standards, remove their excuses and become more intentional about creating the results they want.
The message was direct. The next level doesn’t begin when circumstances become easier. It begins when you decide to operate differently.

We Were Created to Build
One of the first ideas shared during the session was
that people were created to build and create.
Many people spend years helping someone else build a company while placing their own ideas, gifts and goals on hold.
Employment can provide valuable experience, stability and training. It shouldn’t prevent someone from recognizing their ability to create something of their own.
Entrepreneurs must learn how to recognize opportunities, solve problems, serve people and continue working when the outcome isn’t guaranteed.
That responsibility can feel intimidating. It can also be empowering.
You may not know every step required to create the future you want.
You can begin by deciding that you’re willing to learn.

Excellence Doesn’t Require an Apology
Coach Lucy described herself as a woman of intention who values excellence.
She also made it clear that she isn’t going to apologize for expecting it.
Excellence doesn’t mean everything will always be perfect.
It means approaching your responsibilities with care, preparation, discipline and a willingness to improve.
It means taking your vision seriously enough to give it your best effort.
People sometimes lower their standards because they’re afraid of making others uncomfortable.
A business can’t consistently provide excellent service without standards.
Your standards influence how you communicate, follow up, prepare for meetings, serve clients and represent your brand.
They also influence the people who choose to work beside you.
If you want to build something meaningful you must become comfortable expecting more from yourself and clearly communicating what you expect from your team.
Potential Isn’t the Same as Readiness
Coach Lucy shared her vision of raising 100 people who are capable of achieving extraordinary financial and professional success.
She believes people have more potential than they often recognize.
Having potential doesn’t automatically mean someone is ready to use it.
A person may say they want financial freedom while continuing to choose comfort over action.
They may want a different life without being willing to develop different habits.
The gap between potential and results is often found in readiness.
Ask yourself:
Are you ready to work when you’re tired?
Are you ready to be uncomfortable?
Are you ready to hear no and continue moving?
Are you ready to improve your skills, become more disciplined and accept responsibility for the results?
Wanting the outcome is easy. Becoming ready for the process requires a decision.

Comfort Can Become Expensive
Comfort, procrastination, limited vision and inconsistent action can quietly keep someone in the same financial or professional position for years.
These habits may not appear dangerous because they don’t create an immediate crisis. Their cost becomes visible over time through missed opportunities and unrealized potential.
Tomorrow can become one of the most expensive words in business.
Tomorrow you’ll make the call.
Tomorrow you’ll attend the event.
Tomorrow you’ll follow up with the prospect.
Tomorrow you’ll create the content, develop the offer or have the important conversation.
Eventually tomorrow becomes another month or another year.
Growth begins when we stop waiting to feel ready and take the next available action.
It still creates movement. Movement provides information, experience and an opportunity to improve.
The Work Behind the Scenes Matters
People usually see the finished event, successful launch, signed contract or visible accomplishment.
They don’t always see the preparation that happened behind the scenes.
Coach Lucy reminded the group that the launch of this new Winners Wednesday BAR era didn’t happen because everything was easy.
It required consistent work, planning, relationship building and problem-solving.
That behind-the-scenes effort is part of every meaningful accomplishment.
Social media may show the celebration.
Discipline creates the moment being celebrated.
The Instagram post captured the excitement surrounding the return of Winners Wednesday BAR.
When you’re building something don’t become discouraged because people can’t see your progress yet.
Continue doing the work that will eventually make the result visible.
Stop Operating Like an Employee in Your Own Business
Coach Lucy offered a direct challenge to the business owners in the room.
Don’t operate like an employee. Learn to become a partner.
An employee mindset often waits for direction. It asks what needs to be done and completes only the assigned responsibility.
A partner looks at the larger vision. Partners identify problems, contribute ideas, accept responsibility and look for ways to create value.
Business owners can unintentionally become employees within their own companies.
They remain busy completing tasks but never step back to think strategically about relationships, opportunities, systems and growth.
Partnership requires more than asking what another person can do for you. It requires identifying what you bring to the relationship.
What skills, knowledge, access or resources can you contribute? How can your strengths support another person’s goals?
How can both businesses become stronger because of the connection?
The strongest partnerships aren’t built around dependence. They’re built around shared value.
You Don’t Have to Know Everything
Strong leaders don’t pretend to have every answer.
Coach Lucy openly acknowledged that she doesn’t know everything required to accomplish the full vision for the Business Growth Gallery.
That’s one reason partnerships matter.
Recognizing where you need support isn’t a weakness.
It’s a sign that the vision has grown beyond what one person can accomplish alone.
The right partners bring different experiences, abilities, relationships and perspectives. Together they can create something neither person could build as effectively alone.
Trying to prove that you don’t need anyone can eventually limit your growth.
You should remain responsible for your vision.
You don’t have to carry every part of it by yourself.
Find the Eagles and the Buffalo
Coach Lucy explained that she’s looking for people with the strength and determination to move toward challenges instead of running from them.
She compared these people to eagles and buffalo.
Eagles use powerful winds to rise higher.
Buffalo move toward a storm instead of spending additional time trying to escape it.
Both examples represent people who understand that challenges can’t always be avoided.
These are the people who remain focused when circumstances become uncomfortable. They don’t disappear when the work becomes difficult.
They look for solutions, accept responsibility and continue moving toward the goal.
Building with people who have this mindset changes what becomes possible.
If your environment constantly makes your limitations feel acceptable you may be in the wrong circle.

Turn Conversations Into Contracts
Coach Lucy described the Business Growth Gallery (BGG) as a money-making terminal.
This doesn’t mean every interaction should become an immediate sales pitch.
It means the space is designed to help productive conversations become real opportunities.
Network. Connect. Have conversations. Turn conversations into contracts.
Networking is the introduction.
Connection happens when people begin learning about one another.
Conversation reveals needs, goals, strengths and possible areas of collaboration.
A contract becomes possible when both people understand the value of working together.
Many professionals attend networking events, exchange contact information and then fail to continue the relationship. Without follow-up the conversation remains only a pleasant interaction.
Conversion requires intention.
After meeting someone take the next step. Schedule the call.
Send the information. Make the introduction.
Present the opportunity.
Ask how you can support the person’s goals.
Not every conversation will create a contract.
Every genuine connection can provide information, expand your network or lead to another opportunity.
People become tired. Unexpected expenses appear. Plans change.
The challenge isn’t pretending these situations don’t exist.
It’s deciding whether they will permanently control your progress.
Excuses can feel reasonable because they usually contain some truth.
You may genuinely be tired, busy, uncertain or underprepared.
The responsibility to decide what happens next still belongs to you.
Coach Lucy encouraged the group to pick up the pace and stop allowing temporary conditions to become permanent reasons for remaining stuck.
You can acknowledge the challenge without surrendering your vision to it.

Business Activation Is for Every Level
Winners Wednesday BAR was created to support businesses at different stages of growth.
Micro and small businesses may need stronger visibility, new relationships and guidance for building consistent systems.
Midsize businesses may be looking for better partnerships, leadership development or opportunities to expand.
Enterprise businesses may have resources, experience and opportunities that can support the larger business community.
Bringing these groups together creates the potential for stronger relationships across different levels of business.
A new entrepreneur can learn from an experienced leader.
A growing company can discover a service provider capable of solving an important problem.
An established organization can connect with smaller businesses that bring fresh ideas and specialized expertise.
Business activation happens when people move beyond collecting contacts and begin finding meaningful ways to work together.
Step Into the Business Activation Room
The first Winners Wednesday BAR reminded everyone that potential must be supported by action. Excellence requires standards.

Stop waiting for perfect conditions. Identify the value you can bring, enter rooms that expand your thinking and build relationships with people who are serious about growth.
